Blue-green algae advisories lifted for Peace region lakes

Blue-green algae advisories have been lifted for several lakes in northern Alberta.

In our region, that includes George Lake, Moonshine Lake, Smoke Lake and Sturgeon Lake.

Alberta Health Services says water temperatures have cooled enough that the contamination is no longer a concern.

Advisories were placed on local lakes back in July.
