A Grande Prairie woman will be tried for her alleged role in a stabbing. Stephanie Plamondon is one of two people who were charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault on March 6, 2018.
A man was stabbed several times in the area of 100 Avenue and 98 Street around 6 p.m. that night. Video surveillance of the area led to the arrest of the two suspects later that night.
Plamondon’s attempted murder charge has been dismissed but she has been ordered to stand trial for aggravated assault. A date for trial has not yet been set.
Dylan Gogan was also charged in connection with the stabbing, but his charges were stayed after he was violently assaulted while in custody at Peace River Correctional Centre. It’s reported there was an altercation between inmates on March 11, 2018, and Gogan was left in a medically-induced coma.
Three men were charged with aggravated assault. Herbert Charles Wanahadie of Grovedale and Kyle Malcolm Beaver of Edmonton have court dates set for March 26 to 28, 2019. Dylan Moberley-Horseman of Peace River pleaded guilty in January and was given a five-year jail sentence, less 15.5 months credit for time served.
