GP man sentenced to one year on child pornography charge

A Grande Prairie man has been sentenced to a year in prison for possession of child pornography. Wally Adams pleaded guilty to one count earlier this week and was handed a 12-month sentence.

He was arrested in Calgary on August 4th, 2017, the day after a home in Grande Prairie was searched. Authorities had been tipped off by the National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre in Ottawa, but the suspect wasn’t there when the search warrant was executed.

Adams was also originally charged with making child pornography available. Any reports of online criminal activity like child pornography should be reported to RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
