Students at Grande Prairie Regional College will soon be able to get another type of degree at the local campus. Starting this fall, a four-year Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Management will be available through the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.

It is the second degree completion option offered through a partnership with SAIT. In 2017, students could start their four-year Bachelor of Business Degree with a major in Accounting.

“Our students and business leaders across northwestern Alberta told GPRC they want and need business degree options in the region,” says President and CEO Don Gnatiuk. “This expanded partnership fills that need and keeps our students close to home.”

One student taking advantage of the opportunity is second-year GPRC business student Elizabeth Vidrih. She’ll be taking it instead of the management diploma program so she can finish her degree at home.

“I absolutely thrilled I’m going to get to complete my degree at GPRC. It’s expanding the opportunities for students and creating more options to keep our graduates in our region.”

More information can be found through SAIT School of Business Academic Advising or the GPRC Business and Office Administration department.
