Authorities still working with youth from coyote abuse video

Work is being done to hold the young people accused of inhumanely killed a coyote accountable for their actions. That’s the assurance from Grande Prairie RCMP.

A video posted online in November 2018 appeared to show two youth loading an injured animal into the back of a snowmobile and later beating it to death. It was investigated by both police and Grande Prairie Fish and Wildlife.

The people involved have been identified, but their names have not been released since they are youth. The RCMP says it is working with some of its partner agencies to deal with them appropriately.

Anyone with information is still encouraged to contact the detachment or Crime Stoppers.
