Local business owner to speak at Women of Influence Awards

The keynote speaker for this year’s Women of Influence Awards has been announced. Grande Prairie business owner Tracy Persson has been chosen to speak. Persson says it’s was an honour to be asked.

“One of my mottos for my business and life is ‘Women Helping Women.’ This event shines a light on women in our community that truly live these words with their service to others. To be asked to share in even a small way was a very important moment for me.”

Persson has a clothing line called Cozy Intentions that donates a portion of sales back to women’s shelters across Alberta. She also owns Soul Remedies Inc. which provides yoga, meditation and women’s life coaching.

The Women of Influence Awards honour those who have made outstanding contributions to their industries through their leadership and entrepreneurship, meaningful accomplishments and achievements. The ceremony is held every year on International Women’s Day. Awards committee member Rhonda Reichert says they are excited to have Persson speak.

“Tracy has a unique way of supporting women and helping them find their power and bring out their best qualities. She is also one who is working on her own growth and helping to create a pathway for others to do the same. We’re thrilled to welcome her as keynote speaker so she can share her story and inspire others,”

This year’s event takes place on March 8th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Teresa Sargent Hall. Tickets are $35 and are available through Revolution Place.
