City looking for help designing Hillside Neighbourhood logo

Calling all Hillside residents. The City of Grande Prairie is looking to design a new logo and entrance feature for the neighbourhood and wants to hear stories from the people who live there.

The feature is proposed to be built in the northeast corner of the intersection of 100 Avenue and 96 Street. The city hopes it will welcome people to the neighbourhood, provide a sense of identity and revitalize the area.

The design process will take place in three phases. Phase one will be used to collect stories and use them to create three different logo designs. Phase two will be to show the community what the options are and collect feedback. Then in the final phase, people will get to vote on their favourite.

Stories can be submitted online until May. The new entrance feature is part of the Hillside Area Revitalization Plan adopted in 2017. The city hopes to build the new feature this summer.
