Unnecessary travel strongly discouraged: Grande Prairie RCMP

Poor road conditions in the Grande Prairie area have prompted a warning from RCMP. Constable Melanie McIntosh says freezing temperatures, snow covered roads and thick fog have created hazardous driving conditions all over the city and rural areas.

“Unnecessary travel is strongly discouraged. If travel is required, motorists are asked to use extreme caution.”

Highway 43 is currently at a standstill heading westbound at Range Road 55. We will update when we learn more.
