Promoting safety is key for RCMP this Halloween

Keeping both children and adults celebrating Halloween safe is the top priority for RCMP tomorrow evening.

Corporal Roy Kennedy says they want to urge everyone to just be responsible and to use their best judgement.

“If you are going to be going to parties and drinking, make alternate plans and don’t drive. We will have some extra officers out watching specifically for people being irresponsible or unsafe. The goal is to have a safe and fun Halloween.”

Kennedy recommends parents send older unchaperoned trick-or-treaters out with a flashlight, cell phone, and reflective materials on their costumes.

They are also encouraged to check all candy before it gets eaten.
