Home in Fox Creek searched for evidence of child pornography

A tip from Australia has led authorities to search a home in Fox Creek for child pornography. Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams says it’s one of two it searched that are connected to a suspect.

ALERT’s Internet Child Exploitation unit says it got information from Task Force Argos of the Queensland Police Service, which alleged someone from Alberta was involved in trading child pornography images online. The Fox Creek home and one in Eckville were searched on January 10th, and ALERT says a number of computers and electronic devices were seized to be analyzed.

34-year-old Christopher Juneau of Eckville was arrested that day and has been charged with making child pornography, possessing child pornography, accessing child pornography, and voyeurism. It’s alleged he also breached release conditions related to internet access and was arrested for a second time on January 18th.

Anyone with information about the investigation is asked to contact police or cybertip.ca.
