Activities planned around Grande Prairie to mark Family Violence Prevention month

Alberta Health Services is inviting Grande Prairie residents to take part in a number of events they have had a hand in planning, all a part of Family Violence Prevention Month.

A booth will be set up at the Eastlink Centre on November 1 with information about family violence, Mayor Bill Given and Reeve Leanne Beaupre will also be reading a proclamation declaring November Family Violence Prevention month in Grande Prairie.

There will also be a lunch and learn at the former library on November 4 with specialist Heather King.

On top of those, three Playing to Win workshops will be held throughout the month to explore gender based violence issues.
