Man sentenced to 54 months in jail after 2018 drug bust

A Grande Prairie man is facing 54 months in jail following a 2018 drug bust. Jamison Hudgins was sentenced on December 18, 2018 after he plead guilty to possession for the purposes of trafficking, resisting a peace officer, failure to comply with a probation order and possession of a prohibited firearm. Nine other charges were withdrawn.

On January 24, 2018, Grande Prairie RCMP tried to pull over Hudgins for distracted driving but he didn’t stop. He was later found in a different vehicle and arrested. A search of the first vehicle found almost 65 grams of magic mushrooms, 23.5 grams of cocaine, 16 grams of marijuana, two grams of heroin, and a gram of meth. A small amount of ammunition was also found, along with $1,450 cash.
