Aquatera Eco Centre named Alberta recycling Site of Year

The Aquatera Eco Centre in Grande Prairie has been recognized as the site of the year by the Alberta Recycling Management Authority.

The Eco Centre has recently been expanded, and now has more recycling options for items like Styrofoam, batteries, motor oil and household hazardous waste.

In just one year, traffic went up 18 per cent between 2012 and 2013.

Recycling Manager Amy Horne accepted the award at the Recycling Council of Alberta conference in early October, where she was also voted on to Alberta Recycling’s board of directors.
