October 26th snowfall record broken yesterday

Yesterday’s snowfall broke a 24 year old record in Grande Prairie.

The city saw 9 cm of snow come down in and around Grande Prairie yesterday, breaking the previous record, which was set with 6.6 cm in 1990.

Apart from some unseasonably early snow in September, yesterday was Alberta’s first significant snowfall of the season, though the forecast for the rest of the week is looking pretty snow-free right now.
