Grande Prairie City Hall flags at half-mast

The flags at Grande Prairie City Hall have been lowered to half-mast today, along with the Alberta Legislature and other government buildings across the country.

Police presence has been stepped up in many areas and security measures have been tightened at the provincial legislatures.

Canadian Forces Bases across the country have also increased security measures after losing two Canadian soldiers this week.

Members of the military have also been advised not to wear their uniforms, unless they’re headed to or from work.
