Avoid travel on icy roads: Grande Prairie RCMP

Grande Prairie RCMP is warning people about unnecessary travel in the region. It says the road conditions in Grande Prairie and on Highway 40 are very icy.

“Grande Prairie Rural members are currently responding to a multi-vehicle collision south of Grande Prairie on Highway 40 at the correction line,” says Sergeant Shawn Graham. “Travel in the Grande Prairie area is not recommended unless necessary at this time.”

Drivers are asked to be extra careful around any emergency workers.
