Two police cruisers rammed during arrest of suspected dealer

No one was hurt but a man has been charged after ramming two police cruisers. The Grande Prairie RCMP’s Municipal Drug Unit were trying to pull a driver over on January 4th when the vehicles were damaged.

Police say the suspect driver had individually packaged drugs on him, along with money. Around 31 packages of fentanyl and 17 packages of crack cocaine were reportedly seized, along with $1,000 cash. The total amount of drugs seized has not been released.

33-year-old Paul Michael Wilson has been charged with two counts each of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, and mischief over $5,000, along with one count of possession of property obtained by crime. He’s set to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court on January 9th.
