Time is running out to apply for this year’s Passionate Heart Awards. Given out by the City and the County of Grande Prairie, the awards are presented both individuals and teams that have made significant contributions to the community.
Awards given out include one for front-line staff with more than two years of experience in the following professions: policing services, child and family services, youth services, social services and education as well as ones for an exceptional team at a non-profit agency, a business award and the Chris Henderson Lifetime Service award for people with over 10 years of service to the community.
2018 Exceptional Service Award winners include Michelle Wilson, Karen Chrenek, Penny Allaster, Tanya Wald and Constable Ellen Archibald.
Awards will be given out at a luncheon on February 14th at Evergreen Park. Nomination forms can be found on the County’s website. All forms must be submitted by January 18th.
