Crime Stoppers tip leads to drug bust

Drugs and cash have been seized from a suspected drug house in Grande Prairie. RCMP says its investigation was started by a tip to Crime Stoppers, which lead to the search warrant on December 27, 2018.

Police say they rounded up 1.1 kilograms of dried cannabis and 544 grams of cannabis oil, 241 grams of shatter, which is highly concentrated THC, and 26 grams of Magic Mushrooms. More than $11,000 cash was also seized.

“Grande Prairie RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance,” says Corporal Maria Ogden. “If you wish to report a drug house in your neighbourhood, please call the confidential tip line at 780-830-7444.”

Two people were arrested at the home and charges are now pending against them.
