Christmas tree collection starts Monday

Grande Prairie residents can get rid of their Christmas trees for free starting next week. Aquatera will be picking up trees as part of its curbside collection from January 7th to 25th.

Trees should be left one metre away from landfill carts before 7 a.m. on regular garbage collection day. Those longer than eight feet will have to be cut in half and all decoration and tinsel must be removed.

People can also get rid of their trees at the landfill for no charge.
