Know a woman who’s made a positive impact on the Grande Prairie community? If so, applications are now being accepted for the 2019 Women of Influence Awards.
They honour those “who have made an outstanding contribution to their field through their leadership and entrepreneurship, meaningful accomplishments and achievements and breaking down barriers or making significant advancements.”
There are three categories including Young Woman of Influence for those under 30 years old, Trailblazing Woman of Influence for people between 30-49 and the Distinguished Woman of Influence Award for women 50 and over.
Nomination packages and a list of rules can be found on the city’s website. They will be accepted until January 25th. The awards will be presented at a ceremony at Teresa Sargent Hall on International Women’s Day on March 8th.
