The fog that has blanketed Grande Prairie for much of Sunday has prompted an advisory from Environment Canada. The fog advisory is in effect for the Grande Prairie – Beaverlodge – Valleyview and Peace River – Fairview – High Prairie – Manning regions.
Environment Canada says dense fog in the Grande Prairie and Peace River regions is expected to continue Sunday evening and overnight. Conditions are expected to improve early Monday morning as winds pick up.
It’s expected travel will be dangerous in some parts of the Peace country due to reduced visibility. If that’s the case, drivers are reminded to slow down, watch for tail lights, and be prepared to stop.
