A 56 year old Grande Prairie man is in custody after an attempted armed robbery in the city yesterday.
Police say around 7 pm they were called a drug store on 99th Ave and 92nd Street.
A male suspect reportedly used a weapon to demand cash from an employee, but left the store on foot when the employee couldn’t open the register.
Using RCMP Police Dog services, the male suspected was found and arrested shortly after.

Jean Joseph Roger Chabot has been charged with robbery and assault.
He will make his first appearance in Grande Prairie court on October 15.
