Lower nighttime temperatures and sunny days are drying out tall grasses, which can help wildfires spread easily.
As such, the wildfire hazard in the Grande Prairie Wildfire Management Area has increased to Moderate.
If you’re camping this long weekend, make sure to fully extinguish your campfire by soaking it, stirring it, and soaking it again.
