Upgrades to aging Glenmary School in Peace River much needed

Grande Prairie wasn’t the only spot in the Peace Country to benefit from Premier Jim Prentice’s recent education infrastructure announcement.

Glenmary School in Peace River will also get a modernization, along with a Career and Technology Services addition.

Peace River School Division says the initial funding will go towards an analysis of what the school needs for upgrades and what they would cost.

Enrolment at Glenmary is at an all-time high of 560 students, and it’s projected to continue growing.
