Winks Convenience Store in Beaverlodge has been closed down for the past two weeks due to health code violations.
A recent inspection found dust from construction in the building had contaminated food, utensils, and shelving for food packages, and created an unsafe environment for the public.
Construction was also started before plans were submitted and approved by Environmental Public Health.
Before the Mac’s store can open again, work has to be completed, and the entire facility cleaned.
