The city of Grande Prairie is preparing for the 2019 construction season and it wants to hear from the public. It will be holding an open house on Wednesday to talk about plans for upgrades to 104 Avenue between 92 Street and 88 Street.
The project is currently in the design phase. The city plans to bring that stretch of road up to city standards by adjusting the width, improving lighting and adding sidewalks to the north and south sides.
At the open house, people will be able to view drawings, talk to city representatives as well as the designer and give feedback on the project. A start date for the upgrades is expected to be announced in spring 2019.
The event will be held on November 21st from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the lecture theatre at I.V. Macklin School.
