Edmonton men arrested in hotel drug bust

Three people from Edmonton are facing charges after police searched a hotel in Grande Prairie last week. On November 9th, officers and Police Dog Services executed a search warrant at the unnamed hotel, turning up drugs, cell phones, and cash.

Grande Prairie RCMP says the seizure included 131 grams of cocaine, 27 grams of crystal meth, five cell phones, and roughly $4,200 in Canadian cash. The accused are 20-year-old Tyler Lee Dentzien, 22-year-old Abdullahe Omar Awad, and 20-year-old Alhaji Sorie Fofanah.

The three men are each facing two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, as well as one count of possession of property obtained by crime. Dentzien is also charged with four counts of failing to comply with conditions of recognizance. They’re set to appear in a local courtroom on November 26th.
