Residential roads in Grande Prairie should see snow plows next week. For the first time this winter, the City of Grande Prairie has started a round of residential snow removal.
It will begin Monday, November 19th in VLA/Montrose, Mountview and Summit, Hillside, Crystal Heights, Ivy Lake, and Crystal Landing. Residential crews head to neighbourhoods the day before their garbage pickup and work Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Any neighbourhoods missed the first week will be returned to the following week. The city will be clearing windrows from the ends of driveways.
A parking ban is also back in effect for priority 1 and 2 routes. No parking will be allowed Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. until further notice.
