Two second degree murder trials scheduled for 2015

Trial dates have been set for two Peace Region men charged with second degree murder.

34 year old Christopher Bergeson of Sexsmith will be tried in September 2015 for the December 2013 homicide of a 35 year old woman he was in a relationship with at the time.

Her name has not been released to protect the identity of their children, who may have witnessed her death.

Later, in November, a two-week long trial has been set for Edward Charles Desjarlais, who is accused in the homicide of 40 year old Stuart Foster of Beaverlodge.

Foster was found dead in his home in May 2013, and an autopsy confirmed he did not die of natural causes.
