Two charged with attempted murder after Dawson Creek shooting

After what’s being called an “exhaustive investigation”, charges have been laid in the shooting of a man in Dawson Creek. The 30-year-old was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the intersection of the Alaska Highway and 17th Street around 10:30 p.m. on November 2nd.

Police believe the shooting was targeted and say they have no information to suggest there is further risk to the public. Two men have since been arrested.

22-year-old Ghislain Cormier and 20-year-old Chase Schwab are both facing charges of attempted murder and forcible confinement, as well as multiple firearms-related offences. They remain in custody and are set to appear in court Tuesday.
