CIBC Run for the Cure in Grande Prairie raises more than $92,000

It’s only the second time the event has been held in Grande Prairie, but once again, participants turned out by the hundreds to support the CIBC Run for the Cure.

424 participants raised more than $92,000 for research through the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

However, as Volunteer Run Director Camille McLaughlin points out, corporate sponsors and volunteers played an essential part as well.

“The local sponsorship and what the Grande Prairie community has produced itself has been absolutely phenomenal. It would never happen without volunteers; just putting in the teams, doing the participants, and being volunteers – that’s all we can ask for moving forward.”
