Aquatera’s three day water week north conference begins today in Grande Prairie.
The event will provide northern communities an opportunity to learn more about water treatment, wastewater treatment, water distribution , and will give those in the wastewater collection industry and opportunity for education and networking.
There will be a session on emergency preparedness, with mock exercises based on real examples from the 2012 floods in southern Alberta, along with plenty of other opportunities for education and networking.
Participants are attending from Alberta, British Columbia, and the Northwest Territories, with a group coming all the way from Inuvik in the Arctic Circle.

The conference runs today through Thursday at the Holiday Inn.
