The United Way Alberta Northwest plans to mix rap music with art this Saturday. It will be holding the first ever Grande Prairie Art Battle on November 10th.
Twelve local artists will be competing in a rap battle style art competition. The winner will be chosen by the crowd and the art will be auctioned off at the end of the night.
There will also be a DJ, entertainment, food, drinks and prizes. Partial proceeds from the event will go to the artists and part will go to the United Way and its community partners.
The event will be held at 7 pm at Teresa Sargent Hall inside the Montrose Cultural Centre. This is an 18+ event. Tickets are available on the event’s website or at the door for $30.
