Traffic will likely want to avoid 116 Avenue east of 100 Street for the next few days. It will be closed from 99 Street to 96 Street starting Friday morning so CN Rail can install rail crossing gates and do upgrades to the signals.
It’s expected the road will reopen on Monday. In the meantime, traffic will be detoured to 108 Avenue.
Transit routes 1, 3, and 5 will also have to make detours. As well, pedestrians might not be able to walk across the tracks during construction.
