A 19-year-old man from Grande Prairie is facing multiple charges after an armed robbery in the city. On October 27 around 5 p.m., officers were called to a report of an armed robbery at a hotel on the west side of the city.
The suspect allegedly took out a gun and stole the employee’s personal items. He then ran from the scene but left his wallet behind.
Police say they were able to identify him from the ID in the wallet and he was arrested. The man has been charged with seven weapons offences including robbery with a firearm, possession of a weapon and careless use of a firearm.
