People will have one more chance to comment on the Northern Lights Area Structure Plan. The city of Grande Prairie will be holding its last open house on November 6th to show people what it has planned for the land northeast of Lakeland and Crystal Lake Estates.
Area structure plans are meant to guide the city in long-term planning and development, combining current residential, agricultural and recreation use. City officials are looking at zoning the area for long-term industrial use, as well as for recreation.
The drop in style open house will be held at Crystal Park School from 5 pm to 8 pm. Planners and members of the city’s project team will be on hand to answer any questions people might have.
After the open house, the finished plan will be presented to city council at a future meeting for approval.
