Celebrity waiters big draw at Cancer Foundation Harvest of Hope dinner

The Canadian Cancer Foundation’s 2nd annual Harvest of Hope Celebrity Waiter Dinner is fast approaching this weekend, and today is the last day to buy tickets.

Revenue Development Coordinator Jessica Sullivan says the event is designed to be as much fun as you can make it.

“It’s a different kind of event. We have local celebrities from radio stations, big businesses, and some of our sponsor staff; they’re all your waiters for the evening and we pay them in ‘funny money’ to do fun stuff for us and keep us entertained throughout the night!”

The funds raised go towards the foundation’s different programs, which include financial assistance, compassionate care, wig lending, and connecting cancer patients.

The dinner is this Saturday, October 4th at the Pomeroy Hotel.

Tickets are $100 a peice, and can be purchased through Sullivan at the Cancer Society’s Grande Prairie office.
