The public can soon learn more about plans for an industrial park south of Grande Prairie. Two open houses will be held this week for people to see a plan for the future of the area and give their input.
The Tri-Municipal Industrial Partnership between the Municipal District of Greenview and the City and County of Grande Prairie was first announced at the end of 2016. Since then, the area 40 Kilometres south of the city has developed into a large-scale industrial park on 335 square kilometres of Crown land in the MD. All three partners will share the property tax revenue.
The plan will lay out the use of the land and what is needed to access and service it. It already has rail, road, and pipeline infrastructure in place.
Open houses will be held at the Clarkson Hall at Evergreen Park on October 24th, and at the Grovedale Public Service Building on October 25th.
