Nominations due for Wembley byelection

Wembley residents will find out Tuesday if they’ll be headed back to the polls. October 23rd is the nomination day for candidates wanting to fill a vacant spot on the town’s council.

Councillor Nicholas McDonald resigned at its September 24th meeting, and a byelection was set for Tuesday, November 20th. One will be needed if more than one person puts their name forward.

All of Wembley town council was acclaimed during the fall 2017 municipal election. McDonald was a new councillor at that time.

Anyone looking to replace him can drop off their nomination papers and a $100 deposit from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Wembley Town Office.
