Those attending the Fall Home and Leisure Show at the Entrec Centre this weekend will have a chance to hear from Love it or List it Vancouver’s Jillian Harris.
Harris, who originally hails from Peace River, says she tries to help people design their home around things that are close to their hear, not just what’s on trend at the moment.
“Instead of just putting up that picture of you and your husband in Cabo on the wall, incorporate those trips and memories and things that make your heart go pitter-patter into your home in a way that will make people wonder what it means, or what your art signifies.”
Harris says her own personal style and her home definitely reflect her Peace Region roots.
“We love nature, we love the outdoors. My house is all white and fresh, but then all of a sudden there will be, like, a deer shed beside a really pretty little candle. People will always chuckle a little about that, but I’ll say ‘Hey! I’m an Alberta girl, it’s got to be in the house somewhere!'”
Harris will be on stage on Saturday at 1 and 3 pm, and at 2:30 on Sunday.
She has also hosted a season of Canada’s Handyman Challenge, and appeared on season 13 of the Bachelor.
