"The Beserker" anxious for third professional MMA Fight

When William “The Beserker” Carriere steps into the octagon in Grande Prairie this fall, it will be long overdue.

His last two fights were cancelled at the last minute after his opponents pulled out due to medical issues.

He’s on the card for the upcoming Xcessive Force Fighting Championship Battle of the West, and says he can’t wait to step into the octagon again.

“I’m looking forward to getting the payout for all my hard work. I’ve been working non-stop for the past year and I really want to become a champion and make it to the UFC, so my goal is to go out there and really impress people and put on a good show so people want to come back and see me again.”

If he beats Tanner Tolman of Lethbridge, promoter Darren Cliffe has told him he’ll likely be looking to get Carriere a spot on The Ultimate Fighter.

“Bill’s been training like a maniac waiting to get back in there. He’s got a tough opponent in Tanner “The Tank” Tolman and it should be a good fight; I’ve watched Bill train in the last little bit and he looks pretty good.”

XFFC V is set for October 24th in Grande Prairie.

Along with several local athletes, it also features two title fights and the first female fight in the Alberta Peace.

Tickets are available at www.evergreenpark.ca.
