Free weekly skating starting up in the city

UPDATE: The skate is being hosted by Seven Generations Energy.

People will be able to skate for free in the City starting on October 6. The Dave Barr Community Centre will be holding a community skate every Saturday until the end of winter. Manager Cate Amaro says this event is a great way to bring people together.

“These free community skates are a great opportunity for families, friends and neighbours to have fun and stay active during the winter. It’s these types of events that help make Grande Prairie such a vibrant and strong community.”

The skate will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Only those wearing skates will be allowed on the ice and all skaters under 18 must wear a helmet.
