UPDATE: Charges laid after child fires gun in Fox Creek

UPDATE: A 37 year old man is now facing several charges stemming from this incident.  The man, who is not being named, is charged with unsafe storage of firearms, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition without a licence/registration, and child endangerment. He’ll be in Fox Creek court on November 24th.

One person had been arrested after an unsupervised child fired a gun in Fox Creek.

On Saturday, three children were left alone in a vehicle in the cul-de-sac of 8A Avenue when their two parents went into a home.

It was then that the eldest fired a rifle that had been in the passenger seat out of the driver’s side.

Luckily no one was injured in the incident.

No names have been released.
