People may notice some activity going on around the Bear Creek Reservoir behind GPRC. Starting October 3 and running until the end of the month, a survey crew will be looking at the reservoir’s ability to effectively control things like rain from storms.
A two-person crew will be working along the shoreline while another member will be mapping the reservoir in an inflatable boat.
The data collected will help map the floor of the reservoir, track the depth of sediment and develop an updated floodplain map.
People may experience minimal noise and disruption from the survey craft and ground crew.
