UPDATE: Frost advisory cancelled

UPDATE: The frost advisory was cancelled early Sunday morning.

A frost advisory has been issued for the Grande Prairie- Beaverlodge- Valleyview areas.

Environment Canada says that clear to partly clear skies combined with a cold airmass will cause temperatures to drop well below zero on Saturday night.

Grande Prairie is expected to sit around the minus 7 mark tonight with a wind chill of minus 5 in the evening and minus 12 overnight.

People are reminded to cover all plants especially in frost prone areas.
