City extends outdoor water supplies shut off

The water supplies at many city-owned sites will remain off until further notice. Water was set to be restored on Monday but will remain off due to continued cold temperatures.

Water is off at the Rotary Campsite and its sani dump, the sani dump station at South Bear Creek Park and the Nine of Diamonds and Bear Paw Campsites, as well as the north sani dump station at the Tourist Information Centre.

The water was originally shut on September 10 to prevent freezing as a cold front moved through the area bringing cooler temperatures and snow. Water supplies will be turned back on when the weather gets warmer.
