County officially opens the doors on new admin building

The County of Grande Prairie has officially opened their new offices to the public.

Reeve Leanne Beaupre says it has been a long year of renovations for staff and ratepayers, but she thinks the upgrades are worth the wait.

“The flow of the building is better, and the function of it. So you will be greeted at the front, and to your right you’ll notice that planning is at the front. Planning is one of those services that our ratepayers use the most, outside of public works, so it flows better and it functions better for everybody.”

Beaupre says the renovations have allowed the county offices to become a one stop shop where ratepayers can deal with things like permit applications and public works issues all in one place.
