UPDATE: Highway 43 reopens after crash

UPDATE: Beaverlodge RCMP has confirmed three vehicles were involved in Friday’s crash near Township Road 724A. The driver of the third vehicle wasn’t injured.

Police say the cause of the crash is still under investigation and no charges have been laid. Witnesses are being asked to come forward to the detachment with any information.

Highway 43 west of Beaverlodge has reopened several hours after a crash Friday morning. The highway was closed sometime from around 6:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. for emergency crews to respond near Albright and the intersection with Highway 671.

STARS Air Ambulance was dispatched to the two-vehicle, head-on collision around 7 a.m. and transported a woman in her thirties to the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie. She reportedly suffered non-life threatening injuries and was in stable condition.
