More facilities added to Recreational Access Program

Residents who use the Recreation Access Program can now access more facilities. The program has been expanded to include five new locations.

Members now have access to discounted rates on programs at the Eastlink Centre, Grande Prairie Museum, Muskoseepi Park, Dave Barr, Heritage Discovery Centre and the Coca-Cola Centre. Manager of Community Social Development Angela Sutherland says expanding the program will give residents more options.

“We are excited to be offering the RAP program at more locations across the City because it increases the program’s flexibility and accessibility, enabling more options and opportunities for our residents to participate in activities without financial barriers.”

The program offers a 75% subsidy on memberships, passes and registered programs to qualifying applicants. This enables participants to access the facilities for only 25% of the regular admission price.

For more information on how to apply, visit the city’s website or call 780-830-5000.
